SUNNYVALE — The Sunnyvale Division of Public Security mentioned officers on Saturday fatally shot a person who approached them whereas wielding a knife.
Round 5:30 p.m., the SDPS acquired a report {that a} man was strolling round a cell residence park, at 1225 Vienna Drive, with a knife in his hand.
Officers arrived to discover a man within the roadway. SDPS mentioned officers repeatedly informed him to remain the place he was and to drop the knife.
The person refused and approached an officer, SDPS mentioned. Officers mentioned an officer then shot the person. He was taken to the hospital, the place he later died.
