CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) — I-95 north in Chester, Pennsylvania is blocked after a pursuit of a stolen police automobile resulted in a crash, CBS Information Philadelphia has discovered.
A male suspect stole the police automobile – and was shot by officers – in Wilmington, Delaware after officers responded to a domestic-related name on the Cynwyd Membership Residences, New Fort Police Sgt. Andrea Botterbusch mentioned.
Botterbusch mentioned the person ran from the residences to the world of Milltown and Limestone roads the place a wrestle ensued.
At that time, Botterbusch says one police officer shot the suspect. The suspect then stole a police automobile, sparking a chase.
Botterbusch mentioned the chase continued on I-95 as much as Chester earlier than the suspect crashed the automobile.
Sgt. Botterbusch says the suspect was taken to an area hospital. His situation isn’t identified presently.
As police proceed to analyze, all lanes between Exit 4 – US 322 East/Commodore Barry Bridge and Exit 5 – Kerlin Road on I-95 north stay closed. Police vehicles are blocking the freeway.
