NEW ORLEANS – The Solar Belt Convention positioned greater than 2,000 student-athletes to the Commissioner’s Checklist and Tutorial Honor Roll for the 2021-22 faculty 12 months, and App State had a league-high 211 picks on the 2 lists.
The Mountaineers had 91 Tutorial Honor Roll picks to tie Troy for first place in that class. With 120 members of the Commissioner’s Checklist, App State and South Alabama have been the 2 universities with greater than 110 in that class.
The Commissioner’s Checklist honors student-athletes who earned a 3.5 grade level common (GPA) or higher throughout the 2020-21 tutorial 12 months. The Tutorial Honor Roll honors these student-athletes who maintained a GPA between 3.00 and three.49 for the educational 12 months.
“We have fun the educational achievements of those outstanding student-athletes,” Solar Belt Commissioner Keith Gill stated. “We’re extraordinarily pleased with their capability to shine at teachers whereas competing of their sports activities on the highest stage.”
Solar Belt student-athletes charted a mixed common GPA of three.19 for the 2021-22 tutorial 12 months.
All Solar Belt packages within the sports activities of ladies’s cross nation, girls’s golf, girls’s soccer and volleyball boasted a mean GPA of three.0 or higher. Throughout all the Solar Belt Convention, girls’s golf student-athletes recorded the best collective GPA at 3.57.
