SACRAMENTO — Town of Sacramento is now a transgender sanctuary metropolis, believed to be the primary in California to vote for this designation.
The transfer was a giant victory for transgender advocates in Lavender Heights, the guts of Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ group.
Sabrina Naves is a trans advocate who says households are shifting to Sacramento from different states that limit or ban gender-affirming well being care.
“They’ve moved to Sacramento. They’ve come right here they usually discovered a welcoming dwelling for themselves,” Naves mentioned.
Town council voted to guard these households by declaring Sacramento a transgender sanctuary metropolis.
