I've got a 2014 XJ and the front pads are down to the wear indicator, so I've been looking at prices online versus calling local garages around Al Quoz. Some of the online listings are way cheaper but I'm worried about getting the wrong compound or having compatibility issues with the electronic parking brake. I found a Jaguar parts page that had a little note saying "Visit Website" to see a compatibility checker tool, which actually helped me figure out which OEM part numbers fit my specific VIN. Now I'm thinking of buying the pads myself and just paying a shop for labor, but has anyone here done that and run into problems with shops refusing to fit customer supplied parts? Or is it better to just let them supply everything even if it costs a bit more? Just trying to avoid any headaches. Appreciate any advice from other XJ or XF owners in Dubai.
