BELDEN – Two extra smaller aftershocks occurred close to the small Northern California city of Belden Friday afternoon.
These two aftershocks, amounting to 5 inside 24 hours, have been measured at magnitudes 2.6 and three.0, and every occurred inside about 3 miles north of the Plumas County city.
On Thursday, shaking was felt all throughout Northern California from the preliminary two bigger earthquakes centered close to Belden.
The USA Geological Survey (USGS) web site reported these as a preliminary 4.5 and a preliminary 4.3 earthquake simply after 6:30 p.m. The depth of 1 earthquake was about six miles.
A 3rd earthquake on Thursday struck at about 7 p.m. with a preliminary magnitude of two.9.
Individuals in North Auburn and West Sacramento reported that they felt shaking from the primary two earthquakes.
